The operation took place on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, VA. The procedure was an L5-S1 posterior lumbar interbody fusion on a 69 year old, male patient. Prior to undergoing surgery, the patient suffered constant pain and failed conservative treatments including chiropractic treatments and steroid injections.
