OSC Staff Gifts Body Armor Vest to NNPD K-9 Officer Elvis

Officer Elvis Recieves Body Armor Vest

OSC Physicians and Staff celebrated the holidays on Saturday at Busch Gardens’ Festhaus for the annual OSC Christmas party.  The highlight of the event was the OSC Employee Committee presentation of a Body Armor Vest to K-9 Officer Elvis and his partner, Officer Angsten, on behalf of and in honor of the OSC Physicians.

The OSC Staff donated funds to purchase the vest, with the help of Spike’s K-9 Fund http://spikesk9fund.org/, in honor of the wonderful physicians at OSC.  The gift was a total surprise for the physicians and for NNPD Officers Angsten and Elvis.  The physicians and staff enjoyed meeting the NNPD officers and the folks from Spike’s K-9 fund and learned more about the incredible partnership they have with communities around the country.  The vest looks like the one being worn by K-9 Officer Tank below and will help keep K-9 Officer Elvis safe while on duty in the Newport News area.  Enjoy these great photos and encourage folks you know to give to this very worthy cause!
