At Orthopaedic & Spine Center, the majority of patients respond well to conservative care such as anti-inflammatory medications and physical therapy. If a patient does not respond well or has a traumatic injury or disorder, surgery is a viable option to improve function and a return to the activities the patient enjoys. Not every patient is a candidate for surgery, but this is an option that should be discussed with your orthopedist when alternative treatments are unsuccessful.
