I asked my Rheumatologist to recommend an Orthopedic Surgeon that he would personally use himself and he recommended Dr. Robert Snyder of OSC. So, I had a consultation with Dr. Snyder and did some research on my own and in July of 2013, I had Bilateral Knee Replacements on the inside portion of my knees by Dr. Snyder. Dr. Snyder uses the ConforMis System, which is a patient-specific replacement system and this really appealed to me, as it should provide a better fitting and functioning replacement.
I am more than pleased with my outcome and am able to do the things I enjoy again, without pain. I tried knee injections in early 2013, with my Rheumatologist, but they did not help, so I’m glad he recommended Dr. Snyder. But, there is more to my journey. I would definitely recommend OSC and any of the doctors I saw during my eight year journey . I now consider OSC my one stop shop for joint pain .

Rehabilitation at the physical therapy arm of OSC was a very positive experience. So much so that I wish it could be extended into a continuing activity, with clients doing therapy alongside self-generated activities, much like local fitness and wellness facilities. Such a facility could be truly transformational. The business plan for such a facility would combine private and public insurance modalities and individual fees and deposits. Of course, the facility would need expansion and investment by OSC, but the payoff could be great for OSC and the local community.
My reasoning is based on the talent, organization and training evident in the staff behavior encountered during my therapy. First was the courtesy, competence, personal touches and thoughtfulness of all from entrance to exercise to departure, as well as attention to COVID requirements and cleanliness. Second, was the intangible quality of empathy so evident in the concern for client comfort. Encouragement and motivation were also demonstrated.
I could name many more, but Jim, Fred, Bill, Jonathan and Cody do deserve special mention, with regrets, I cannot add so many deserving others for lack of good memory and inattention. Suffice to say that I am thankful to all for this experience, which hopefully will bring my many years of enjoyable physical activity, similar to that depicted from 2011.

I have never been disappointed with OSC. Dr. Bob Snyder is very punctual and thorough. I always know that the appointment will run smoothly. The overall experience is perfect. Can you please move to Gloucester? ?

Dr. Bob Snyder did such a great job repairing my right shoulder, that I asked for him by name when I needed care for my left shoulder. I couldn’t ask for better care. He and his staff are top notch!
At the moment, I can’t think of anything you can do to improve your service. I always look forward to the complimentary hot chocolate, and the kiosk for check-in is also very nice!

Dr. Bob Snyder is my hero, a knee doctor, but he cured my shortness of breath!!!
After twenty-plus years of unbearable pain, he magically and skillfully, of course, eliminated ALL pain. While in pain, I didn’t breathe correctly, inhaled a little bit, blew out what was left…of course, my breath was short. Both of my knees were replaced with the ConforMIS System and after 4 weeks, I was back to work.
It was a pleasurable journey. The pain after surgery was well controlled, as was expected. He managed my medication properly, enabling me to exercise as instructed. As long as I have my new knees, I will continue to recommend him to all who need his service. The staff was sincerely caring, knowledgeable and friendly. I was a walking testament…folks commented how well I had progressed and, of course, I had to “advertise”!

It is 6 weeks today since my total knee replacement and I am absolutely pleased with the results.
I will be back on the golf course next week! Dr. Snyder’s approach to pain management was awesome!

Physician Name: Drs. Coleman, McFarland, and Snyder
My story: A few years ago after breaking my ankle and not knowing any orthopedic doctors, my friend recommended Orthopaedic & Spine Center. Dr. Coleman saw me immediately and gave me advice to reduce the chance of putting pins in. I followed his advice and with his great care I have not had any aches, pains, or problems with my ankle. When I developed back problems other government physicians gave me treatment options that would only be temporary, if they found the problem. I again called OSC where I met Dr. McFarland. He removed 4 bone spurs off my spine. He was honest and told me I would always have some pain, but it would be manageable (and it is). Then I had to have knee surgery which Dr. Snyder performed. I am 74 and active. Thank you all. If you have a problem, don’t hesitate to call – they are caring and they listen. I hope I won’t need their services again, but they will be the first call I make.
