When I went to see Dr. Jeffrey Carlson, I was in pain from my L4 and L5, causing a bad sciatic nerve issue with pain and numbness in both legs. I had talked to different people who have had back issues or surgery and everybody’s story was different. In my case, I previously had a lumbar spinal fusion outpatient surgery and was walking with a walker before I left the hospital.
I had my Lumbar Fusion surgery on Nov. 15th, 2016. OSC had set-up a home health nurse and a Physical Therapist to come to my house. 2 weeks later, I went back for a follow-up and had my staples removed, still using a walker. A week later, I was using a cane to get around and started to walk outside. Before Christmas, I was walking over 8 blocks. When I went back to OSC for my 6 week follow up, I was driving and walking 16 blocks. I was told I didn’t need to wear my back brace anymore and now I’m doing Physical therapy 2 times a week.
I have not had any of the pain that I had before, still have some from the surgery. All I can say is, if you do what Dr. Carlson tells you to do, you will heal fast. I’m thankful for such a gifted Doctor.
