My name is Sean Bunyon. This testimonial will sound very hyperbolic, but it’s the honest truth and I wasn’t paid for my endorsement, LOL.
Dr. Boyd Haynes performed my first hip replacement a few months ago and I’m beyond satisfied with the results. I had a congenital defect of the femoral head that caused severe arthritis, discomfort, pain, changed my gait, and made it almost impossible to run for most of the past decade.
I procrastinated having the surgery, in large part, due to the testimonies of a couple of good friends that had complete replacements in their early 30’s. I’m in my mid 40’s. They both described their respective recoveries as the most painful experiences they’ve ever endured. My recovery couldn’t have been more dissimilar.
Due to requiring an organ transplant, my hand was forced in regards to having hip surgery, as having the replacement wouldn’t be possible after a transplant. My fears of a painful recovery weren’t realized, as I experienced absolutely ZERO pain after the operation and during my convalescence. I, of course, had soreness and stiffness following surgery, but totally no pain. I still can’t wrap my head around that fact. I was walking completely unassisted within 3 weeks of the operation and I’m currently training for a 5k next week.
Dr. Haynes is very friendly, attentive, and thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns. I can only speak of my personal experience and can’t promise a similar one for anyone else. I will attest to Dr. Haynes professionalism and expertise and he has my emphatic recommendation.
