Dr. Carlson is AMAZING and a Miracle Worker! I had outpatient spinal surgery (Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion). I cannot tell you what it feels like to wake up with your functions returned to you and in less pain then you experienced every day. Honestly, other than the initial need for pain pills when I woke up and was transitioning from the hospital to home, I could almost forget that I had surgery. 10 days letter I was in his office getting my staple removed, restored driving privileges, no longer having to have the neck collar and finally feeling normal (which I haven’t felt since 2014 or previous). The after care with the at home nurse and physical therapist was also AMAZING! Nurse Margaret from Personal Care was truly a blessing and had such a pleasant demeanor. The staff from Dr. Carlson’s office and Mary Immaculate where a blessing from beginning to end. All the specialist I previously visited never recommended an MRI. If Dr. Carlson hadn’t, I would have been paralyzed by now. He is truly the best surgeon in the US for this surgery and I am so thankful for what he has done for me in restoring my life and health. I suffered from pain all over my body for more than 6 years! Don’t think about it, worry or stress: if you need this surgery PLEASE get it. Your life will be so much better after.
