Physician: Dr. Haynes
In the summer of 2012 I began to suffer acute hip, shoulder and jaw pain. I was diagnosed (and not quickly either) with Rheumatoid Arthritis. My PCP had me on large steroid usage for weeks to alleviate the joint pain and inflammation. My left hip quickly deteriorated and almost became necrotic. I was in a choir with one of Dr. Haynes’ RNs and she highly recommended him. I had to wait a month from consult to surgery, but I couldn’t work anyway, so I waited.
The surgery was a God-send. Dr. Haynes was a God-send. I had the Anterior Left Hip replacement a year ago, on November 21, 2012. I won’t lie: the pain the first 4 days was rough, but that’s what good meds are for. It was almost like a switch was flipped on day 5. Much less pain and an amazing increase in mobility and healing. I had home care PT for 2 weeks and outpatient PT for 3 weeks. I felt amazing. Yes, the muscles, tendons, and nerves were still sore as they shifted back into place, but I was back to work in 6 weeks – I could have gone back in 4 actually. Dr. Haynes’ professionalism, genuine caring, attention to detail, his honesty and gifted surgical hands were indeed a gift. I can truly recommend Dr. Haynes and OSC for expert care.
