Lee McManus – Spinal Fusion and Laminectomy with Dr. Jeffrey Carlson, Physical Therapy with OSC PT

For months I was in extreme pain in my neck, shoulders arms and hands. I couldn’t do the simplest of things and couldn’t sleep. On the recommendation of my wife, I met with Dr Carlson, went through the X-rays and MRI, and built a treatment plan. On May 20, 2025, Dr Carlson performed a laminectomy with spinal fusion prodecure at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital. The surgery and post-operative care was perfect. The neck/shoulder/arm pain was gone immediately. I was up and walking around (with a neck brace) within a day. I stopped taking post operative pain meds 3 days after, though it took a little longer to fully recover from the anesthesia. Three weeks after surgery I was in the OSC Physical Therapy building; stretching, building strength and improving range of motion. I can’t say enough about the PT staff. They really knew what they were doing. Its now November 2025 – I can say that the procedure and followup care was/is a complete success. I have no pain or discomfort since the procedure and my strength and range of motion has completely return to normal. I’ve had 3 follow up appointments with Dr Carlson (more xrays) to check on progress – everything is as it should be. My experience with OSC was completely positive. The entire staff exudes professionalism. All matters were handled quickly and with discretion. Well done OSC!
