I recently had a total knee replacement at the Orthopaedic and Spine Center (OSC). I have written a testimonial for Dr. Boyd Haynes and highly recommend OSC, particularly Dr. Haynes and his surgical team, for this procedure. Further, I chose the OSC Physical Therapy team for my post-op physical therapy provider. After 2 weeks of home therapy, I was ready for my outpatient therapy.
Dr. Paige Tretter was my lead therapist. Her team consisted of Bill Richards (PT Assistant) and Brittany Hodges (PT Technician). Dr. Paige designed a detailed PT plan for me after conducting a range of motion assessment of my knee. She provided me an at-home exercise program to be integral to the OSC exercise plan. By following her plan, I was able to meet my range of motion goal ahead of schedule. I then progressed to leg muscle strengthening.
I had 8 x 1 hour therapy sessions at OSC PT. My PT Technician, Brittany Hodges, escorted me to my exercise locations and coached me through each exercise to ensure I was doing each properly. At the conclusion of each session, Bill Richards did a progress assessment to ensure I was progressing. At no point, did I feel duress throughout my sessions. Every exercise was a positive experience.
I highly recommend going to OSC PT for your outpatient knee replacement physical therapy treatments. Throughout my 4 week program, Dr. Paige and her staff were very professional, encouraging and just plain friendly. I enjoyed my experiences at the OSC PT Center. Note however – self physical therapy at home IS absolutely essential to reaching your therapy goals. This takes commitment to the OSC plan for your complete surgery recovery.
