Dr. Vesley and her medical team to include Ms. Destiny Nichols is absolutely amazing! Dr. Vesley is a top notched, passionate and experienced surgeon who offers medical care with compassion and genuine concern! I’m a veteran of the United States Army Honor Guard of Ft Myer VA. While I do not have all the names of the OSC personnel I interacted with during my time under your guardianship, it is important to recognize the staff as a whole and certain individuals separately. Each person I contacted, either in person, or on the telephone, was very professional, understanding, and caring. Each demonstrated their knowledge and care for me. Management needs to be very thankful to have such a staff of true professionals and needs to let their staff know in meaningful ways that each person is important to the overall wealth of the OSC organization. The first is OSC’s Surgical Scheduler, Destiny Nichols. I found her to be very professional and a delight to speak with. She has the talent to calm the waters when it comes to speaking with patients. Thus, help them through a very unsure time and assure them of the unknowns facing them when it comes to pending surgery. She explains everything and takes the time to let the patient get comfortable, ask questions, and repeat, if necessary, information as may be needed.
The second and most important, OSC’s Surgeon, Dr. Bryanna Vesely. She was recommended to me by a long-time-neighbor and dear friend, Steve Bowman of Smithfield, Virginia. I had contacted him because I wasn’t thrilled with the Orthopedic Surgeon my family doctors’ staff had set me up for my first consultation and knowing some of his surgical history, I felt he was a good person to ask for referrals. Steve knew of her through one of OSC’S own, Dr. Boyd W. Haynes III.
During my first meeting with Dr. Vesely, I was very impressed with the manner she presented, pertaining information as related to my injury, procedures, possible, and probable outcomes as related to the two procedures detailed. Adding to this she presented different timelines and outcomes. My second meeting with Dr. Vesely was the morning of my surgery. During that meeting she detailed the procedure once again and provided me with two possibilities which were already known but needed to be repeated. I concurred with her evaluation and felt confident in her skills and knowledge to make the best decisions she could for a successful outcome from surgery.
The entire staff encountered at OSC are outstanding in every way and if that was the only consideration I would not hesitate in recommending OSC as a center of excellence to anyone who might find themselves in need of OSC’s Excellent Staff.
