Rose Paul – Knee Pain

My name is Rose Paul and I am the 75 year old, great grandmother of 2 little girls, ages 3 and 20 months. During the summer of 2014, I started having knee pain. My family and I are very active, outdoor people. I love to work in the yard and help my husband with his vegetable garden, but my knee pain made it very difficult to continue my active, outdoor life. I was convinced I would require a knee replacement so I waited (and suffered) over 4 months before I called to make an appointment with Dr. Boyd Haynes at OSC. Dr. Haynes told me that I may, in fact, need the knee replacement I feared, but first he wanted me to try a regimen of glucosamine and a prescription medication, Nambumetone.

After 6 weeks, I was feeling much better. At my next visit with Dr. Haynes, he recommended continuing the glucosamine and Nambumetone regimen and I am so happy to say that now, 3 months later, I have no knee pain and am not facing a knee replacement surgery! I still take glucosamine twice daily and both Dr. Haynes and I are so pleased with the outcome. Thanks to Dr. Haynes and glucosamine, I am now working in my yard and helping my helping my husband in his vegetable garden again.
